5/31/2017 0 Comments Overwatch Inspired Gamer GlovesThis is Tracer's core that allows her to teleport with the jacket colors in the background. Tracer is a pretty well known character, and she is one of the first characters that I watched someone play before trying Overwatch myself (I did not watch very long as her warping all over made it hard for me lol). While playing she can be a really fun character for the person playing her and a pretty annoying character for those playing against her. Altogether she is a pretty cool character and one that is pretty iconic for Overwatch. D.Va Bunny! D.Va was one of the first characters I really started playing. She is a tank so that of course would be a direction I would normally go, and her ultimate is really fun. I actually liked it better when she could end up killing herself with it (I thought it was funny, I died, a lot) because it took more skill to get that ultimate in there without dying. She is probably one of my all time favorite characters because she is relatable as a gamer! Bastion is my boyfriends favorite character, he also has the cutest little voice line noise in Beeple, I would make that noise at my boyfriend until he would make Bastion make it all the time while we were playing. When I was thinking about making him I was like "What can I do?" thinking about symbols or Ganymede and realized the gamer gloves were the perfect shape for making his head instead! Symmetra is one of the other characters I was playing a lot while I was trying to find the one. I thought the turret killing was pretty funny, if your not on the receiving end on it at least. So for her it had to be the turrets! You just have to be careful and luckily these gloves have friendly turrets on them XD. My favorite of the Overwatch inspired gaming gloves that I've made so far, is for one of my least favorite characters! I can't decide if I hate Junkrat or Mei the most but they are both up there. Junkrat is a crazy character and I feel like I captured that in these gloves. He also has a lot of fun colors (I've been liking yellow more and more, and with black it looks great, it has such nice contrast).
I am really happy with them so far, I plan to do more, it is just figuring out how I will make the different shapes. I am excited to have made gloves that are related to so many fun and unique characters. I also love that Overwatch is such a colorful game, it makes a very fun set of colors to work! The button goes to the Etsy listing for these gamer gloves for those interested in them!

I haven't been a big fan of scaling in World of Warcraft, especially the scaling with item level. If I get some good gear I want to feel like a badass and just mow through mobs. I think a big part of it that I don't like is the mobs scaling, I like that in Guild Wars 2 my character scales. It also kind of makes more sense to me that my character would scale vs. the mobs scaling. I feel like a big piece of that is that the games are different. With Guild Wars 2 everybody has a bunch of damage abilities even if you build support or bunker, but in World of Warcraft that isn't the same, with a healer you have just a couple of damage spells, and with a tank you have damage spells but you don't do a lot of damage, and I know you can change specs pretty easily but if you don't have fun as DPS why would you want to do that? The scaling just doesn't feel good in World of Warcraft, when I go through things in Guild Wars 2 even scaled down I am still more powerful and I like that. I have nice gear and I want to feel powerful everywhere because of that. I guess it feels like I am being penalized in WoW verses feeling rewarded. I was kind of on the fence about how I would feel about scaling in WoW before but seeing it in the game I just really don't like it and since it doesn't scale my character I still get beat up by people much higher level than me. I hope that one they don't make it so you continue to scale this way with the next expansion and that you don't have to continue doing the raids/dungeons with people because of the scaling. One of my favorite things to do is solo old raids, and not being able to do that once Legion get old enough would feel like a really big punishment. I really do hope they change the system and definitely make it so it does not scale with item level. I don't know very many people who were excited about that, I mean let us feel like badasses when we have awesome gear!! And definitely if World of Warcraft does continue to do scaling, scale the characters instead of the mobs, this would also help with people who are griefing in low level zones! Just please make it so it doesn't feel like such a punishment!
I'm not actually sure why skinning isn't in the game. We have leather so I feel like it would have made sense for the skinning to be a thing but I suppose with the way armor drops it could end up being way too much leather. They would have to adjust the ratio of that if they did ever add skinning. I wouldn't mind if the ratio was adjusted and you could skin creatures and in the place of the leather armor, you would get more cloth armor (especially at lower levels). Skinning is kind of a yucky thing seeing as you are taking somethings skin but that is how leather is made, so at the moment it feels kind of awkward that we don't have it. Cloth is one of those things that is harder to get, but also something you need a lot of. You can have wood and ore coming out of your ears but then can very easily be lacking in cloth, especially lower level cloth. It could be cool if you were able to gather cloth more consistently from people wearing cloth armor, or even things like cotton trees could be really cool, maybe you could even have sheep to shear for wool, there being a flax garden for linen, and a mix of plants for jute ect... A lot of the cloth types come from plants and the ones that don't come from animals, which could be at little farms around Tyria, or things similar to that. Being able to have a place to gather these thing more frequently would be really nice, and would take a lot of the dread out of farming them. I would love to have little farms that I could go and gather these things, they could be just like the little patches of strawberries, potatos, cauliflower, ect... I think for for cloth this could definitely be a nice way to balance out how much you get compared to wood/ore. I hope they make some changes like this because it would be really nice for the people who play the game!
I love history so I think the concept of Archeology is really cool, in practice it has become a little be daunting though. Now I know being able to dig up artifacts from father away doesn't make a lot of sense but we have shoulders made or lava/fire, and celestial horses and so on and so forth, so I don't feel like it has to make a lot of sense. We have magic. With that said an increased range on digging up artifacts would be really nice. Not having to be as close to that actual mark could speed up the process, or even having you receive more artifacts in one dig. Instead of only completing one bar of the excavation you could complete two at a time once you hit a certain level in Archeology. It wouldn't be one of those things you were given right off the bat you would have to work for it, at higher levels you should be more proficient in Archeology and have a better archeological sense of where hidden artifacts should be. The digs could even reward more of the items that give you a boost to making a complete item. There are a lot of different things that could be done with this to make there be a boost to Archeology and to have it be less of a time sink. I know World of Warcraft is a time sink kind of game but that doesn't end up being very fun, and a lot of people will leave because they don't want to do all of that grinding. With so many other games changing the model of the normal grinding there are lots of other places to go, and I think that moving away from the immense time since method into a new more fun way of doing these things is a good idea. There are 6 expansions worth of content to go through plus the original game. That is a lot to do already, and can feel a bit overwhelming alone, so making some changes to the professions especially one so heavily based on RNG would be a really good idea. Plus having another reason to level Archeology is always nice!
5/27/2017 0 Comments Lake Doric, Guild Wars 2If you didn't already know, Lake Doric is the place to be if you need to farm (especially leather). Not only can you get tier 6 materials but you can also get lower level materials that you would have to go to lower level zones or dungeons to get. I wouldn't say you get a lot of them but it is much better than having to sit in a lower level zone you've already completed, when you only need one material from there. It is much easier to farm wood, and ore because there are nodes but not counting the home instance nodes there aren't really any for cloth and leather, which makes them much harder to get. This helps a little bit with that problem. It is also kind of like a little mini game because you're not quite sure what you are going to get from here. I really like farming here it is actually pretty nice, and kind of reminds me of cursed shore farming but not so dark and dreary! If you do need some more leather, tier 6 materials, and some random lower tier cloth, leather, ore, this is the place to go!
Fishing can be a pretty monotonous task, and it takes awhile to do, especially if you are looking for a certain rare item or just need a lot of fish. I used to like fishing more when I had more time as it was pretty relaxing but now it is kind of a task I just don't want to do. If once you reached a certain level in fishing you became more proficient in fishing and were able to catch fish faster that would be really nice. Especially for when you need a lot of fish for a raid in food buffs or are just going for achievements, or trying to get that rare fish that never seems to bite ect... For the people who don't have a lot of time but would like to do some of these things it would be a very nice feature, and it makes sense. The more you do something the better at it you should get so being able to catch fish faster (especially in the schools of fish) seems like the way to go. With there being 800 levels to go through in professions now it can be rather daunting, especially when you think of doing that on a level 1 character, it would be more of an incentive to get there if you got increased speed in doing a lot of the gathering professions or other boosts for being at 800 (or maybe a little bit lower than 800, 600-700 maybe). I would love to see something like this to help make these professions more fun again, instead of them feeling like such a chore! And to have something else to look forward to along the way of leveling them!
5/25/2017 1 Comment Autopickup Guild Wars 2I am not a farming person, I get bored pretty fast so I have to do it in small doses, but with autopickup it is so so much better! I never completed it until just recently, I thought I was going to have enough Tyrian masteries in the beginning to do the other ones then fill out Advanced Logistics too, but that wasn't the case for the longest time I only needed 3 points. The League of Legends ranked season started, Overwatch chests to get ect... so it just kind of fell to the wayside and I am pretty sure I had been missing out on loot because of it! Before the autopickup I would be sitting there feverishly hitting F to try and get all of the loot, and the range isn't that big so I would miss out on tagging a lot of mobs. I am so happy that I have this now because it makes farming a lot easier, and nicer. Plus I am happy that I don't have to hit F anymore because it would actually end up hurting my wrist sometimes! If you haven't done the masteries yet I would make sure that it is at the top of your list (unless you are doing the legendaries and need that one first, but then I would still have it as second). Especially if you aren't a farming person like me, it makes it a lot less of a chore!
I felt like I couldn't just leave with all of this unrest, I wanted to know more about this land, was all of it full of this unrest? Did people even want to be saved? How could I help them? I have so many questions that are unanswered and in my heart I know that I must help them. It breaks my heart knowing that there is such hatred here. On the other side of the city there is a little mine and at least there there doesn't seem to be such unrest, just people doing their jobs, some not so much... but others are. Those lazy miners just need a little inspiration though, and I am just the person to give it to them! Change is scary but I am glad that some people understand that change can be good as well. It can take some time to adjust to but as long as people keep trying they will get there. I don't know much about the fears of change, ever since I awoke from my dream my life has been changing. It feels like a friend, full of new information, lands, and people. Maybe once I settle down I will understand more about what it is like to go from things always being the same for so long to being turned on their heads. I am in love with this trees. Er, not that kind of love, they don't talk, or move, or do much of anything. They aren't like people or other Sylvari's. I mean they are just so beautiful they feel like home. I better be careful how I talk about the plants I wouldn't want people thinking I was in love, in love with them. I came upon a new race that I had not seen before. Ogres, they are not terrible friendly though, they don't seem to want anything to do with me, before I could get in a greeting they started to charge me. I was only observing them and their structures. They are definitely not as well crafted as the Human structures here, but there is something unique about them, and something kind of stunning to see. I wonder if they put the flowers there or if it was just an accident. They seem to have taken over that bridge and made it their home none the less. Though I don't want to see people in danger, it is a relief knowing that this land is not only plagued by the Charr and Humans still fighting. It makes me glad to know that it is just part of the area and not all of it. Maybe they will let me help them more and see this treaty the way I do, as an exciting journey into a peaceful time!
I told myself I was going to go somewhere, where undead were not controlling the show, but I lied. The Hinterlands were the next closest place and while I can portal myself to major cities, it would still be a large distance to travel to get to an area were foes were at my level. Because I decided to go where there are undead I am off to collect body parts of something to summon it into our world. It doesn't sound like a good plan but I doubt I will be able to change Marnal's mind. Also the Inn is just lovely... For there being an alliance between many of the races, it sure does seem like there are a lot of rogue groups that do not want to be part of the Horde. I wonder if my Blood Elves are the same, or if it is just trolls that seem unwilling to fight for the Horde. It is strange there are just chests with pieces of Shadra in them. Parts of her body being kept as relics makes me feel even more unsettled about bringing it into our realm. The Trolls seem to have found Shadra very important as they were the ones that once lived here. The spiders surprisingly did not destroy the chest they just left it alone... What am I about to summon? I get the feeling that harvesting her body isn't going to be as easy as he thinks, nor is using the idol in each of the temples. At least the three temples I have to use are right next to each other, but those eggs up on that hill... they are huge. I get the feeling that there are spiders even more massive than the ones I've already seen, and I can practically ride the ones I've seen. I wish I hadn't been right about that... Shadra even came out of the water, and her full size couldn't be seen at first only the spiky parts on her legs. On top of that the noises she made were awful. She almost ate one of the undead, and I don't think he would have been a full meal, maybe just an afternoon snack. There was so much poison oozing from her body as they gathered the blood. Deadly amounts of it to the living, I made sure to stay far, far away during this process. I am glad that the summoning and fight of Shadra is over, but am suspicious of how the undead will use her blood. When Marnal was thanking me he hesitated when saying he wanted to use it to kill the Alliance. For the Horde was a second thought, I will have to keep an eye on him, his motives may not be pure. The undead seem to have a very different understanding of morality.
I was not high enough level to enter the Harathi Hinterlands and something about the Fields of Ruin called to me, I had a certain curiosity about this place. I had heard whispers of some unrest here, and the Charr seemed to have a special dislike for it, but I wanted to know for myself. I thought they were just whispers but it turns out that they were very true. Humans were even shouting in the streets to continue fighting the Charr, and more than one human told me that the Separatists will even kill other Humans if they believe they are in the way of their cause. The Charr and Humans are at peace now, it is sad to see that there are still lingering feelings of hate between them. Ebonhawke is a place of beautifully melancholy, there is so much history here, and it feels like it wishes to haunt the present. I had heard of Gwen Thackeray and Kieran Thackeray, ancestors of Captain Logan the humans champion. He is doesn't seemed to be the most well liked Human, I heard he was supposed to slay a dragon but left before that happened and that someone from his guild died because of it. I wonder how his ancestors would feel about that. The walls of Ebonhawke are so tall it is amazing that someone would even try to fight them with these defenses. The trees here are so beautiful, their leaves are full of warm yellows, oranges, browns, and reds. They are much like my own leaves. The Separatists on the other hand are not beautiful, they seem to plague this land with their toxic ideals. I don't understand how anyone could not want peace, have they not fought long enough? On top of that they are rather brazen attacking a camp full of Ebon Vanguard alone. Their actions seem to have no logic behind them, but when do madmen's actions make sense. They have even converted some of the soldiers, he tried to kill me when I told him I did not agree with him. What madness is this? The least I can do is help from this plague spreading, the wrong ideas of the mind can lead to far too many wrong actions. Peace is beautiful, pure, and full of love, but I may have to use a little force to maintain it. Both sides are to blame for this conflict, and I hope one day they understand that, so they can move on.
