I haven't been a big fan of scaling in World of Warcraft, especially the scaling with item level. If I get some good gear I want to feel like a badass and just mow through mobs. I think a big part of it that I don't like is the mobs scaling, I like that in Guild Wars 2 my character scales. It also kind of makes more sense to me that my character would scale vs. the mobs scaling. I feel like a big piece of that is that the games are different. With Guild Wars 2 everybody has a bunch of damage abilities even if you build support or bunker, but in World of Warcraft that isn't the same, with a healer you have just a couple of damage spells, and with a tank you have damage spells but you don't do a lot of damage, and I know you can change specs pretty easily but if you don't have fun as DPS why would you want to do that? The scaling just doesn't feel good in World of Warcraft, when I go through things in Guild Wars 2 even scaled down I am still more powerful and I like that. I have nice gear and I want to feel powerful everywhere because of that. I guess it feels like I am being penalized in WoW verses feeling rewarded. I was kind of on the fence about how I would feel about scaling in WoW before but seeing it in the game I just really don't like it and since it doesn't scale my character I still get beat up by people much higher level than me. I hope that one they don't make it so you continue to scale this way with the next expansion and that you don't have to continue doing the raids/dungeons with people because of the scaling. One of my favorite things to do is solo old raids, and not being able to do that once Legion get old enough would feel like a really big punishment. I really do hope they change the system and definitely make it so it does not scale with item level. I don't know very many people who were excited about that, I mean let us feel like badasses when we have awesome gear!! And definitely if World of Warcraft does continue to do scaling, scale the characters instead of the mobs, this would also help with people who are griefing in low level zones! Just please make it so it doesn't feel like such a punishment!

I love history so I think the concept of Archeology is really cool, in practice it has become a little be daunting though. Now I know being able to dig up artifacts from father away doesn't make a lot of sense but we have shoulders made or lava/fire, and celestial horses and so on and so forth, so I don't feel like it has to make a lot of sense. We have magic. With that said an increased range on digging up artifacts would be really nice. Not having to be as close to that actual mark could speed up the process, or even having you receive more artifacts in one dig. Instead of only completing one bar of the excavation you could complete two at a time once you hit a certain level in Archeology. It wouldn't be one of those things you were given right off the bat you would have to work for it, at higher levels you should be more proficient in Archeology and have a better archeological sense of where hidden artifacts should be. The digs could even reward more of the items that give you a boost to making a complete item. There are a lot of different things that could be done with this to make there be a boost to Archeology and to have it be less of a time sink. I know World of Warcraft is a time sink kind of game but that doesn't end up being very fun, and a lot of people will leave because they don't want to do all of that grinding. With so many other games changing the model of the normal grinding there are lots of other places to go, and I think that moving away from the immense time since method into a new more fun way of doing these things is a good idea. There are 6 expansions worth of content to go through plus the original game. That is a lot to do already, and can feel a bit overwhelming alone, so making some changes to the professions especially one so heavily based on RNG would be a really good idea. Plus having another reason to level Archeology is always nice!
Fishing can be a pretty monotonous task, and it takes awhile to do, especially if you are looking for a certain rare item or just need a lot of fish. I used to like fishing more when I had more time as it was pretty relaxing but now it is kind of a task I just don't want to do. If once you reached a certain level in fishing you became more proficient in fishing and were able to catch fish faster that would be really nice. Especially for when you need a lot of fish for a raid in food buffs or are just going for achievements, or trying to get that rare fish that never seems to bite ect... For the people who don't have a lot of time but would like to do some of these things it would be a very nice feature, and it makes sense. The more you do something the better at it you should get so being able to catch fish faster (especially in the schools of fish) seems like the way to go. With there being 800 levels to go through in professions now it can be rather daunting, especially when you think of doing that on a level 1 character, it would be more of an incentive to get there if you got increased speed in doing a lot of the gathering professions or other boosts for being at 800 (or maybe a little bit lower than 800, 600-700 maybe). I would love to see something like this to help make these professions more fun again, instead of them feeling like such a chore! And to have something else to look forward to along the way of leveling them!
I told myself I was going to go somewhere, where undead were not controlling the show, but I lied. The Hinterlands were the next closest place and while I can portal myself to major cities, it would still be a large distance to travel to get to an area were foes were at my level. Because I decided to go where there are undead I am off to collect body parts of something to summon it into our world. It doesn't sound like a good plan but I doubt I will be able to change Marnal's mind. Also the Inn is just lovely... For there being an alliance between many of the races, it sure does seem like there are a lot of rogue groups that do not want to be part of the Horde. I wonder if my Blood Elves are the same, or if it is just trolls that seem unwilling to fight for the Horde. It is strange there are just chests with pieces of Shadra in them. Parts of her body being kept as relics makes me feel even more unsettled about bringing it into our realm. The Trolls seem to have found Shadra very important as they were the ones that once lived here. The spiders surprisingly did not destroy the chest they just left it alone... What am I about to summon? I get the feeling that harvesting her body isn't going to be as easy as he thinks, nor is using the idol in each of the temples. At least the three temples I have to use are right next to each other, but those eggs up on that hill... they are huge. I get the feeling that there are spiders even more massive than the ones I've already seen, and I can practically ride the ones I've seen. I wish I hadn't been right about that... Shadra even came out of the water, and her full size couldn't be seen at first only the spiky parts on her legs. On top of that the noises she made were awful. She almost ate one of the undead, and I don't think he would have been a full meal, maybe just an afternoon snack. There was so much poison oozing from her body as they gathered the blood. Deadly amounts of it to the living, I made sure to stay far, far away during this process. I am glad that the summoning and fight of Shadra is over, but am suspicious of how the undead will use her blood. When Marnal was thanking me he hesitated when saying he wanted to use it to kill the Alliance. For the Horde was a second thought, I will have to keep an eye on him, his motives may not be pure. The undead seem to have a very different understanding of morality.
I see it all the time where something new in a game comes out so the company posts it on their social media and instead of being excited about the new thing people are complaining about something else. I've actually tried to stop reading the comments because of this. And I want to state that there is a huge difference between complaining and suggestions. You can very easily suggest something without it having to take away from this cool new thing and put that suggestion in a better place. It seems like one of those moments where people forget to stop and smell the roses. Not only did we just get something new in game but on top of that a lot of work probably went into giving us this new thing, and I honestly feel bad that the people who created these things aren't being praised more for them. Sure not everything is going to be my style or the next persons style but that doesn't mean we have to react negatively to it. Someone put a lot of time and effort into this thing and that is beautiful whether it is my kind of beautiful or not.
It is just a little reminder, to see the bright side of things and that there is a better way to go about giving criticisms (which as a secondary reminder criticisms are not useful unless they are constructive). I'm sure every one of us has worked hard on something and seen others work hard on something then had someone to come along and stomp all over it (metaphorically or physically) and it sucked. Those people receiving all those bad messages, all that negativity are just people like you and me. Morals of the story. If someone works hard at something they should be praised (even if it isn't our personal preference), there is a better way to go about giving criticisms that just being negative and toxic (if you don't know how to fix it/make it better, why criticize? Suggestion are better, it is easier to improve or change something when you know which direction to go), and do unto others what you'd want done to you, would you like to receive so many negative message about something completely different than what the post was about? And seriously look on the bright side, we just got this shiny new thing in a game! That should be an exciting event!! In a world where you fight the dragons, demons, and pretty much anything else that would cause your faction harm, it seems fitting to have some pretty crazy gear. I like the style of the rather over the top gear, having hammer with molten lava inside, crowns made of fire, and an ornate tabard somehow seems to work perfectly together. I like that a Tauren's shoulder armor is much larger than their head. It seems fitting for their race and definitely would keep them protected in battle. I personally wouldn't say I play games for things to be ordinary. I play them because they are extraordinary, so having things that are extraordinary, like some crazy armor adds to the over all essence of the game. Do I think its cool that his shoulders have a unique glow to them? Definitely. Would it be realistic to go into battle like that? Most certainly not, but that is part of the fun of it. Taking something that was cool like armor, and taking it away from being practical to being phenomenal. Since there is no need for it to be practical, it can be whatever we want, which allows for so much creativity. If it weren't for it getting in the way, being heavy, hot, and really only worn for battle wouldn't it be cool to wear armor? Instead of trying to do that in real life it makes a lot more sense to make a character that can do all of these things without being held back by the downside of armor. It is a dream for many of us, to be the knight in shining armor. To be the hero, and getting to be whoever we want in whatever crazy outfit fulfills a little piece of that dream. For me being able to mix match, and put all of it together to make my character look epic is something I look forward to. If we could find a way to make things light up and be practical (there are some things that do that, but are more difficult to wash). I feel like we would definitely do unique things with it. Like crazy shoulders, with light coming out of them (they would be good at night too), until that day though I will definitely settle for some crazy armor in WoW!
After Orkus death I went home for a bit, I was expecting to care about him but his heroism endeared me to him. I didn't feel like myself after, and had to get some fresh air, with some beautiful Blood Elf buildings in that background. It is such a cheery place I don't know how anyone's spirits wouldn't be lifted there. I knew I had a duty because the Alliance were coming but even upon my return it didn't go well. I can't blame him. Even in the short time that I've known the Forsaken, and seen just a handful of the terrible things they've done, is enough for a life time. I can only imagine what this Orc has seen. He is missing the point though, the Alliance are coming to attack and more than just the Forsaken may die without his aid. Begrudgingly I took the information back to High Warlord Cromush. He did not take it well. His plan of "we will be fine" seems brazen and foolhardy. My thoughts seem to have been instantly justified as we talked about what they had planned in SI:7. Scores of soldiers, tanks, and weapons lie just above Tarren Mill, the ridges just above being their hide out. From the notes their army sounds vast, and I've been sent to blow it up with unstable goblin explosives all alone. I hope that this doesn't end in my death as well. I really wish I knew the ways of the rogue right now. The banshees coming along and picking up weak humans was a little unsettling. I am glad they are on my side or some of those horror stories I was told when little may have been coming true. They either have a lot of faith in me, or no one else to do this job. Either way this camp is teaming with dwarves. If it wasn't for my elemental I may not have made it through. The undead are not above poison, I felt dirty every step of the way. I guess sometimes we have to do things that are unpalatable to save our people. I just wish they thought of a different way, it sounded like a slow agonizing death... After I finished setting explosives, I figured I would do some of the quests along the way back to Tarren Mill, and I do not think the Duskingdawn's Wand was working as intended. It was supposed to infuse the target with love and adoration, and instead it made the fawns murderous. I don't know what she did to the wand but it seems to have a little extra kick to it... and the yeti is quite the brute as well. The first time I tried to kill him I died and had to get my soul back to my body before it was too late. the second time I made sure to use everything I had to be able to defeat him. We could see the explosions for miles. It was really something to behold. I feel better knowing the Alliance plans were thwarted and that Orkus did not die in vain.
While I make the gamer gloves mainly for computer use I have found that they are good for other activities as well. I've had a lot of people get them because they are cold/get cold easily. I've had various artist get them from digital art, to tradition art, to making jewelry ect... They are great for a lot of different things, I even wear mine while crocheting because I get cold very easily. I've also had people get some of the longer ones for winter, then use them as a keyboard pad during the spring. I know a lot of offices can get cold as well, I actually did a special pair a long time ago for that reason (it extended further towards the fingers). For working on tables that dig into the wrist or forearm the longer gloves are nice, I actually made some for my mom because her little table was digging into her arm when making her jewelry. I would have made one for my boyfriend too but I did something a little different (he gets hot very easily) where I made a desk edge protector, basically it covers the edge of his desk for he doesn't get a bruise from the desk, it is the same idea though. I've had some people even get them for part of a costume which is pretty cool! Then they can also have the duel use of being part of the costume then after the party they can be for gaming! I'm sure I will find out more and more other uses for the gamer gloves as people get them for alternative uses. I am excited to see that kind of out of the box thinking because I think they could have a lot more uses than just the ones I normally think of and am glad to have helped so many people already!
Each expansion means something different to each person. It depends on what you need and what you're looking for, for me I was looking for someone to be there for me and I found that during WotLK. It has a special place in my heart even though I spent most of my time playing in a dark and gloomy area. With each new expansion the game changes pretty drastically, it has gone through a lot and it has been so long since Cataclysm that I don't even full remember the zones the way they used to be, little things change and sometimes big things change, but we pretty much always end up with a new area to explore and a new place to call home. Until Dalaran moved I didn't realize that it wasn't just the city I loved so much, it is the Crystalsong Forest too. The beautiful, wonderful sky, that is like a starry night but also a happy day, being able to jump off to do the cooking daily right below, and the soft music playing in the background. It all adds up to a place of wonderful memories. I flew in and out of this gate so many times, I loved doing the ToC dailies so it was in the rotation to come over here and do the jousting. I also remember feeling a bit on edge as I would have to fly by the massive scourge army that lay right behind, I know I could have flown high above to be safe but I liked to chance it so I would be closer to the dailies. When I look back on it now, I think about how difficult this place was before but how much easier it is now. I can pretty much just one shot the bosses, were as before I had gone through so many wipes to kill the Lich King once. I suppose in a way that is a good metaphor for life. Things that were once so difficult become much easier as you get stronger and learn more, those things that loomed over you and haunted you, become much easier to deal with and even how you think about them can change. I got through a lot of tough things in life with this expansions help, so it means something more to me, and those good memories I will hold forever.
It was only a moment ago that I said I was going to stay away from the green stuff, and what do they have me doing? Taking samples of deadly green stuff, the "blight" whatever, it killed a bunch of people and Serge didn't even give me a mask. He is wearing a mask and he is undead! The next place I go, I should probably stay away from the undead. Their morals and understanding about life, are not that great. The Blight Slimes are actually kind of cute when using the analyzer on them. They turn into little baby oozes, I could almost carry this one around with me! If it wasn't a deadly blight slime and all. I may have accidentally made the Dark Rangers a little bit blood lusty. What kind of magic does this staff have in it? Poor Orkus, he is brave to his very core, but perhaps not the smartest of Orcs. Maybe he was telling the truth and they did put some sort of spell on him but I'm not sure. Him charging into a powerful sorcerer was not the best idea. Hopefully I can at least heal Kasha, she is a beautiful dragon, I would hate to see her wither away here. These guys need to take better care of their mounts. At least Dumass didn't have a mount when he came here, that would have for sure been dead by now. Thanks Serge! Definitely need to go somewhere else on my next adventure. And at some point they want to do tests on me to find out why I'm so resilient to the blight... Here I come Kasha. Hopefully these mudsnout will save her! The Gnoll's weren't so bad I even got a rare treasure from one, he was named, and larger than the others. I wonder if the shoulder armor and, bracers he was carrying are worth any gold or silver. I may have to keep the shoulders for myself, to transmog them later. They could be rather fashionable with the right robe. In an act of vengeance we found much more. Poor Orkus, High Warlord Cromush said he will be remembered from Kalimdor to the Eastern Kingdom. His bravery saved us from a terrible attack. I will find somewhere safe for Kasha in his memory, but before I can do that there is a battle to plan, and so much work left to do to defend the Hillsbrad Foothills from the Alliance.
