I see it all the time where something new in a game comes out so the company posts it on their social media and instead of being excited about the new thing people are complaining about something else. I've actually tried to stop reading the comments because of this. And I want to state that there is a huge difference between complaining and suggestions. You can very easily suggest something without it having to take away from this cool new thing and put that suggestion in a better place. It seems like one of those moments where people forget to stop and smell the roses. Not only did we just get something new in game but on top of that a lot of work probably went into giving us this new thing, and I honestly feel bad that the people who created these things aren't being praised more for them. Sure not everything is going to be my style or the next persons style but that doesn't mean we have to react negatively to it. Someone put a lot of time and effort into this thing and that is beautiful whether it is my kind of beautiful or not.
It is just a little reminder, to see the bright side of things and that there is a better way to go about giving criticisms (which as a secondary reminder criticisms are not useful unless they are constructive). I'm sure every one of us has worked hard on something and seen others work hard on something then had someone to come along and stomp all over it (metaphorically or physically) and it sucked. Those people receiving all those bad messages, all that negativity are just people like you and me. Morals of the story. If someone works hard at something they should be praised (even if it isn't our personal preference), there is a better way to go about giving criticisms that just being negative and toxic (if you don't know how to fix it/make it better, why criticize? Suggestion are better, it is easier to improve or change something when you know which direction to go), and do unto others what you'd want done to you, would you like to receive so many negative message about something completely different than what the post was about? And seriously look on the bright side, we just got this shiny new thing in a game! That should be an exciting event!!

Guild Wars 2 does something really special with their living story, in adding new zones along the way, on top of the four Heart of Thorns zones. They've been doing this with the living story even before Heart of Thorns came out and there is something really unique about this. When I think about WoW and how there are five zones (about) added each expansion, I think about the differences between the games. I've never played a game like this where so many full zones are released later as part of the story. Before even playing Guild Wars 2 I thought it would be cool for there to be an interactive movie, where you played through part of it and watched part of it. Now I realize it makes a lot more sense to have it be a movie within a game, like Guild Wars 2 does it. It drives the story just like a movie would be driven and just like in a movie you end up in new areas, and in zones that feel like new worlds. This is important because it helps to bring the game to life. I'm not just going to the zones to help people to level, gather, ect... I am going there because it is part of my story. It is part of what makes my character who they are and how they learn to battle the dragon along the way. The new zones are an accumulation of the story, and which makes them more special than the normal zones, especially because they get unlocked as you go along. You already have an emotional attachment to them, because of the journey your character takes. I can tell that a lot of work goes into these zones, and that is something that is really neat and impressive. In all honesty I just wish they where getting payed more for their work, because I can tell that along with these zones and another expansions worth of content that there is so much more they want to do. I appreciate the new zones, and the story that goes along with them. It pulls me in, and I gotta say it has some pretty good cliff hangers, unique characters, and interesting and beautiful places to visit.
After visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier I realized that I was so busy trying to learn everything I could that I wasn't really seeing things. I was jumping from place to place so quickly that I wasn't enjoying the journey. Even though I came into this world not that long ago, each day could be my last. For these brave souls it was, and their memories will be filled with honor but I wonder if they got to enjoy their journey or not. From this moment forward I want to explore, but really explore and enjoy my journey. There is so much beauty to be seen, so many nights to bask in the pale moon light, so much to learn, and I need to slow down to do that. I know a dragon awaits me and that it my destiny is to defeat it, but my path there is my own and I may as well enjoy it along the way. Each new day brings something special, a chance to be who I want to be, a chance to smell the roses, a chance to feel the cool breeze, and listen to beautiful music. I intend to take those chances. I decided to go towards the water, as it is something I haven't encountered much of. This water is so clear and blue, it feels almost soft on my skin, like the touch of a welcomed friend. Other than some unhappy beasts it is very peaceful, it feels like an important part of me, one that I should cherish. The fish are nearly as large as me which is both exciting and terrifying. If one gets too hungry it may be able to swallow me whole! Luckily they seem mostly indifferent to my presence, and I do not seem like their type. They seem to like eating vines that grow at the bottom. After a brisk swim, and managing to evade some pirates I found a rather amazing fortress. The walls go so far into the sky, and they even seem to have their own air ship. It is amazing, and a bit ominous. I am hoping the friendly humans built this structure or it maybe a rather imposing piece of architecture. Friendly people did indeed build it! Though I do not think the humans built it alone seeing as many different races reside here. The Vigil, they seem to be a set of various races, all training to protect Tyria. The Sylvari here are not as friendly as I am used to, something big seems to be looming over their minds. I suppose training to fight great enemies could do that to you. They are armed to the teeth, but I can't help but to enjoy their amazing view. I can see almost all of the Gendarran Fields from up here. It is stunning. I wonder if they could help me prepare to face the dragon. They have so many weapons, armor, soldiers, and teachers. Maybe I will have to come back here when I know more about my path. For now though, I wish to just be a leaf in the wind.
After exploring the Brisban Wildlands it was time to move on. I was told that humans had control of the Gendarran Fields, and since they were right off of Lion's Arch I thought I would take my adventure there next. The human areas feel like a home away from home, it is nice that the people are friendly and warm and they have such pretty flowers! They are like soft little friends that whisper in the wind, gently tickling my arms and legs, I had to sit with them and enjoy their company for a bit. They are so happy and beautiful even in the dead of night! I quickly realized that the foes right outside of Lion's Arch were much stronger than me. Their poison burned so bad. It occurred to me that the humans probably would not come from Lion's Arch they would come from the Kessex Hills, so I decided to go in that direction. Here I found enemies I could handle, and a brilliant little fort! There seems to be a problem with the risen here so they built it to keep them out, with the gates open it doesn't completely stop them but it has helped to quell the numbers that get inside. Night time is my favorite time, I feel so invigorated by the moons pale light. The human structures are so cute, little homes and villages dot the landscape but instead of sticking out it feels like they fit in. The poor humans here are injured. I do not know why the centaur and humans cannot live in peace but the centaurs only seem to want battle! All around the Seraph lay injured and dying. These poor things! And the Skelk do not seem to be helping, what a mess they are making attacking the Seraph on top of the Centaur threat! I, at least was able to mend many wounds, and bring many of them back from the brink, I even helped them get back to camp, and fend off the Skelk as best as I could. Hopefully this village will be in for happier days now! So many cities popping up out of no where. This one is probably my favorite, it is much larger and has a wonderful flaming beacon at the top, the fire can be seen from so far away at night, it feels like a safe harbor. Inside that is what it seems to be troops are training and being sent off to protect other villages, villagers are working, and there is even a place to remember the fallen in sweet yet sad memories. At least they live on in this way and the heroism is known for many generations. They are the guardians of their people and that is something truly noble.
There are so many outfits that I would take pieces from but you can't because they are full outfits. If I could take them apart I know I would have bought more of them, and I don't feel like I am alone there. I honestly don't even really care if there are clipping issues (which from what I understand is the biggest issue with trying to make separate armor pieces). There are some boots that I use that actually have clipping issues but I still use them anyways. (I could see myself using the chest, pants, and boots with something else in this picture). (definitely would use the top and hood with another outfit, its actually pretty cool together but I want to be able to customize). Guild Wars 2 is so focused on customizing your character that it doesn't really make sense to make it so you can't do that with the outfits as well. It wouldn't have to be for every outfit but I honestly think that it would be cooler, and people would buy a lot more outfits if this was an option. If I put all of the pictures it would be way too many. Of all the outfits I was thinking of it was probably at least double the ones that I put here. There are so many pieces that I think would look cool on different armor, and I would really love to see that be a possibility even if there are clipping issues. I honestly wouldn't mind if they were just cut at what looks like the line for the top and bottom (a lot of them have a pretty defined line) and with some armor there were clipping issues and with others there wouldn't be or there were less clipping issues. I would enjoy it as a player and I feel like it would increase sales as well. Guild Wars 2 is called Fashion Wars 2 for a reason and being able to customize these outfits would increase that!
After seeing the destruction in the Kessex Hills I wanted to know how far it had really spread. I was told that they managed to contain most of it there but still my curiosity got the best of me, and a small part of me wanted to run. The land that Scarlet corrupted, feels so full of sadness, my heart breaks for it, and the people who live there. In the Brisban Wildlands the air feels fresh and clean again, it is lucky that they thought to contain each of these zones, with only a portal to make the next available, it keeps many of the threats contained within them, instead of allowing them to wash over from one to the next. The air in Kessex Hills had been making me itchy, I thought it was just because of my heartbreak but it seems that the toxins still line the air. Hopefully going through the portal washed them off, I would not want to be the cause of the toxins moving to the Brisban Wildlands but seeing as I feel much better I think it did, and I know many a traveler before me have done the same. One day I will go back to the Kessex Hills and help them more, but for now my heart needs a break, it is much easier to deal with petty thieves than mass destruction. I do not know how a whole human fits so easily into a bush but they seem to have gotten rather good at it. Bandits are ready to pounce at every turn, luckily for me I have just the magic to face them. The Packhearts are so cute as they carry supplies! He just waddles along with packages on his branches, it is a rather delightful sight to see! To my dismay my joy was short lived. As a followed the wonderful packheart I saw it. A toxic spore plant with minions all around it, somehow they were contained to a small area, but still they live farther than the Kessex Hills. I was told that she left toxins all over but I thought when I was told that it was contained that they had taken care of the threat elsewhere. From the looks of it plants still manage to flourish in other places though... Without help I cannot take them on alone, there are far too many of them, their bodies glowed so brightly in the darkness. So full of the toxins that I do not think they are krait anymore. The eerie glow felt all too unsettling and even some of the hostile wildlife tried to fight them to no avail. I tried to fight them as well, but did about as good of job as the wildlife. I had to run before they killed me with their torment. When I am stronger I will be back to cleans this area. Scarlet will not continue to cause such destruction if I have a say in it. At least I can be of help to the citizens who live here. The bandits are still up to their thieving ways, why they can't just work with us against such great threats I do not know. I am not sure how to convince them but maybe they will change sides. If not I will just have to continue to protect my people. They need all their strength to fight greater threats. I have heard whispers of dragons awakening, and more than just the one Scarlet awoke. Even if I can't do all of the things I want to now I will continue to gather strength, they will need me to fight these terrible threats. They will need everyone willing and able.
The next place I wanted to visit was the Kessex Hills, I had heard a lot about Scarlet Briar and while all of Lion's Arch is new, some of her destruction can still be seen in the Kessex Hills. She is spoken of as almost a legend, a dark and evil one but her story almost seems more myth than fact. How one person could cause so much destruction is beyond me. She isn't even a dragon! Granted she did get a dragon to help her but the destruction up until then was all her and her minions. It is too bad that all of the brilliance went to evil, imagine how much good she could have done... Right as I enter the Kessex Hills I can see part of her tower, it sends shivers down my spine. I had heard that it was a massive structure, that you could barely see the top of, and that it plagued the waters all around it, but this really puts it into perspective. Only the bravest of heroes chose to enter it and they had to be careful of the toxins every step of the way. Even though she is gone some of her toxins still plague this land, sprouting up all over the place, I will make sure to destroy all I see. I do not think this land could take a second round. The base alone is massive, I think a city could almost fit inside here, I suppose in a way it was like a city, an ominous one. The beautiful clouds that lie behind it make me wonder what it was like before Scarlet. Whenever people talk of this place that is all they talk about, but they do not mention what it was like before. I wonder how beautiful it was. The clouds do not seem to notice the destruction, they are still living in the beautiful world they once knew. These structures creek so loudly in the wind, it adds to the haunted feel of this place. It is almost like bones of what once was are hanging out in the wind. Pieces of the structures skeleton, lie all around, I'm not even sure if I should be touching it or if some of the toxins still remain. Regardless, my curiosity has been satisfied, I hope that this land hasn't been completely scarred by Scarlet Briar. Maybe they will dismantle it some day, here's to hoping at least. I don't think I should have been touching the water... or structure... the land around it still seems to be pretty toxic, and toxic creatures are abundant. To my disappointment this land seems plagued by the toxins that Scarlet brought, even farther away from where the tower once stood, toxic seedlings grow. It is like they are an indigenous plant, and have become part of this land. I am not sure if there is a pesticide or magic strong enough to clean all of the land, but I can hope. For now it seems we will have to try to tame this threat along with all the others. I hope that at the very least we can keep it contained. Scarlet's influence runs deep, and now I understand why she is spoken of as a legend. She will forever be a part of the history of Tyria.
I could only take the cold air for so long before it was time to move on, and I had heard so many wonderful things about the last place I planned to visit before I move on. Divinity's Reach, most of the adventurers said they loved this place, and that it was like a second home to them. Right out of the gate I understood why, there is a garden in the middle of all these wonderful structures. The light shining in from the ceiling seems so pure, and almost holy, cascading gently on its surroundings. How they managed to do this is beyond me but I appreciate their work. I followed what seemed like the way out when I was struck by a hall made of fish tanks. Fish peaceful swimming around inside, not bothered by the chatter of the city, they minded their own business but its amazing to watch. They dart by quickly weaving in and out of the plants, some float, their bodies seeming like jelly, with tentacles ready to sting. Bubbles coming up from the bottom, and the light reflecting on the stone floor. I could sit here for hours, if only a ministerial would come along and play a tune, it would be the most peaceful of times. As I move forward a gentle music fills the air, it is soft and soothing but almost haunted, full of life, but yet a whisper on the wind. It feels like the perfect music for this place, I bet there are so many stories waiting to be heard, myths and legends just starting out, it seems like the perfect place to start an epic adventure. Houses line the outer walls, but I am not sure how people get up there. I did not see any paths up there but windows are full of light so it must be something the locals know how to do. The view from up there must be wonderful, especially if they can see the other side as well. One side looking into the depths of the castling and watching all of its inner works and then the other viewing the wilds, untamed and majestic. Beyond the castle walls a small village emerges, the houses are so cute, they are painted in such happy colors and the villagers are welcoming to a stranger like me. Even in the early morning hours this village seems like a wonderful place to be! There are farms! Kind of like the ones that my people have, but I am told that there are many farms in this area, the people here are primarily farmers and sell this food to the people here and in Divinity's Reach. I had to sneak a peek back at the castle and it is well worth it. It towers over the surrounding lands, like a loyal watcher, always looking after its people. Those towers must be able to see so far into the distance, maybe one day I will be able to see what they see. One villager asked for my help with their farm, the cows like dancing! What silly animals but I am more than happy to oblige, one even looked like it smiled at me, a cow smiling! I want to stay with these lovely animals all day but there is so much world out there, so much I still have to explore. There are so many cats here! They are adorable, I have decided that after I have completed my destiny that I must have one! I will have to come back and see which one is the snuggliest, someone around here has to be selling them! The moa's here are domesticated too, maybe I need to come back and make my own farm, these animals are so friendly and sweet! I cannot imagine anyone wanting to attack such sweet animals and people but the bandits do not seem to care. They are only looking for money to steal, and after they attacked the first farm I knew I needed to keep them at bay here too. The bandits seem to be a big problem, their lust for gold has taken over their sense of decency. I even found them trying to poison the water supply! What an awful thing to do! I will have to keep a close eye on them while I am here. Queensdale is far too lovely of a place for this evil! I have decided that I must protect these people, aside from my own they are the kindest souls I have met in my journeys, every race has something wonderful about them, but I feel at home here. One day I will have a home here, and until then I have to make sure there is a place for me to make one.
While I make the gamer gloves mainly for computer use I have found that they are good for other activities as well. I've had a lot of people get them because they are cold/get cold easily. I've had various artist get them from digital art, to tradition art, to making jewelry ect... They are great for a lot of different things, I even wear mine while crocheting because I get cold very easily. I've also had people get some of the longer ones for winter, then use them as a keyboard pad during the spring. I know a lot of offices can get cold as well, I actually did a special pair a long time ago for that reason (it extended further towards the fingers). For working on tables that dig into the wrist or forearm the longer gloves are nice, I actually made some for my mom because her little table was digging into her arm when making her jewelry. I would have made one for my boyfriend too but I did something a little different (he gets hot very easily) where I made a desk edge protector, basically it covers the edge of his desk for he doesn't get a bruise from the desk, it is the same idea though. I've had some people even get them for part of a costume which is pretty cool! Then they can also have the duel use of being part of the costume then after the party they can be for gaming! I'm sure I will find out more and more other uses for the gamer gloves as people get them for alternative uses. I am excited to see that kind of out of the box thinking because I think they could have a lot more uses than just the ones I normally think of and am glad to have helped so many people already!
After being around the Asura I wanted to learn about the Norn. I had heard that even though they live in the frigid north that they are warmer, kinder people. The adventurer that told me about this place was not kidding about the temperature here, snow constantly falls around me and I am shivering. Sylvari have a hard time here, because we are plants, even my frost magic is not this cold. After a change of clothes I started on my way, luckily for me my ancestors had left these beautiful garbs for me. They are much warmer than the outfit I was wearing! I am mesmerized by this building's beams of light and how it leaves images in the sky over the lodges. It is amazing and I want to know how they utilize this magic, but at the same time I want to adventure here before I am too frozen to move. The Norn and Charr do not seem bothered by the cold, all through out the city I saw Norn with legs, abdomens, chests, and arms uncovered, I do not understand how their bodies stay warm with so little clothing. Once I got out of the city it isn't as cold, grass is even growing! I can still feel cold breezes coming off the mountain tops, but at least fires are abundant. Their warmth helps me, it thaws my frozen limbs and wraps them in a blanket of comfortable heat. I want to stay by the fires all day, but I need to know about this land, about the Shiverpeak Mountains. There name is ever so true. The gate to Hoelbrak is beautiful, only from high up can it be truly appreciated. Each animal representing the spirits they worship. The Norn have a beautiful understand of nature and are very in tune with it. It is something I admire about them, the animals they hunt are not just animals but beautiful creatures that allow them to live, that give them strength, and guidance. I cannot think of something more beautiful than that deep of an understanding, each creature having their own place in the world and that place should always be cherished. Even though it is cold I feel at home here, there are so many trees, and plants all around, and the warmth of the Norn spirit really brings it to life. Wolves wander around as friends, they even have their own shine and guardian, to protect them if anyone tries to betray their trust. I even got to pet a couple! They are so soft and warm, and gentle to the touch. Normally they aren't as friendly to strangers outside of the Norn, but I think they sensed that I would do them no harm. The mountains are beautiful, if it wasn't for the cold I feel like I could stay here forever.
