1/14/2017 0 Comments Extra Long Infinity ScarfInfinity scarves are pretty cool. They look nice, simple, and pretty, adding just the right amount of color to an outfit with adding a lot of warmth. On top of looking nice, they definitely keep you warm, those layers of yarn over one another keep the wind from getting in and from it attacking your neck. I know from living in cold places that this is a pretty big must. In winter when it is like -5 degrees or worse you definitely need something to keep your neck warm. With my asthma anything under zero makes it so I can't breathe, if you get a good gust of wind at that cold it makes it hard for anyone to take in a good breathe. Personally I would put a bit of the scarf in front of my face to help with this. They are really pretty too. This one I was testing out different length & widths, it happened to be a little too long and not wide enough for a lot of warmth but was still pretty! I didn't even like this yarn in all honesty my boyfriend got it on accident because I was trying to find my rainbow yarn (which its actually name is bikini and I had forgotten that). Couldn't go into Michaels because mine is so perfume so he went in for me and this was the rainbow yarn he came back with. It looks a lot nicer on something than I expected with the black shirt I am wearing it really pops and adds a nice bit of color to the outfit :).
The infinity scarves are pretty neat and easy to use, one of the things that can get annoying with normal scarves is when it tries to come back over your shoulder or keeps slipping down, but with these you just make the infinity symbol and then put one circle over the other and slip it right on, it is super easy and they aren't going anywhere :D. As someone who like functionality over fashion this is perfect for me. I'm not interested in dealing with something annoying because its pretty, its just not my jam. So I love these things and they are fun to make :D. I am really glad that they came into style so I could make them and put them up in my shop :3

1/13/2017 0 Comments More Back Options, Guild Wars 2Guild Wars 2 has a lot of backpack options, so many that I love but don't have enough characters to use all of them XD, but there aren't really any cloaks, which seems weird if I'm playing World of Warcraft and swap to Guild Wars 2. I'm not sure why cloaks haven't really been a thing, I could think of a lot of neat cloak idea (especially if you could dye them! amg that would be wonderful :DD). (so many backpacks O.O) Big fluffy wings, Quaggans, Flowers, Actual Backpacks XD, there are so many options but cloaks seem to be missing from this wide variety. There are so many outfits that a nice flowing cloak could fit nicely (especially plate), but for some reason they are missing their place in Guild Wars 2. Arenanet could definitely have a cloak that would show your guild emblem on it too (which seems like a great idea to me). Someday I would hope cloaks would make their way into the game so that your character could have that super hero feel (a hooded cloak would be pretty cool too for reaper feel, maybe that one as an outfit though). Also they would look cool flapping in the wind while gliding (which I've wondered if that's why there aren't really cloaks in game). It would be a cool idea to add, maybe someday I will get to see them flying in the wind! CategoriesAll Crochet Guild Wars 2 League Of Legends Life Overwatch World Of Warcraft While cloaks are all well and good (and they give a super hero feel to things XD) I think adding some more options would be pretty cool. Pretty much all of the backpieces are cloaks, there are so so many cloaks (like 40 some pages of just cloaks in the appearance tab). And I like some of the cloaks a lot but I would love to see them branch out more. In Guild Wars 2 there are backpacks, like the metal and stain glass wings from PvP. A lot of the armor that the characters wear in either game isn't terribly realistic (plate bikinis), so I don't see any reason to not add backpacks to World of Warcraft. There are so many adorable backpacks in Guild Wars 2 and could you imagine that being carried over to World of Warcraft I mean look at it! Look at that super adorable little ram face :3. Could you imagine a Cinder Kitten backpack or Mischief Backpack like this? Like amg XD!!! That would be soooooooooo cute, your looking at your characters back all of the time while playing these games so having a really cute backpack to look at, seems like a great idea to me! The two ideas above would probably be in the cash shop because that is where you can get those companions, but maybe adding them as boss drops or achievement rewards. It wouldn't have to be a whole lot of backpacks but I think that it would definitely be an idea that could be worth while. Especially with being able to transmog things now (you've been able to for awhile but I think of when you couldn't when I started playing a lot XD). I feel like there are so many outfits that could use a little Cinder Kitten backpack (would also probably be neat on a fire mage too XD)! Something I hope they would consider adding in the future as it could be a really cool idea!! :D CategoriesAll Crochet Guild Wars 2 League Of Legends Life Overwatch World Of Warcraft 1/11/2017 0 Comments Puff Scarf! This scarf is very warm, the little puff stitches really add to the thickness of the scarf and make it great for places that get really cold (I could see being in temperatures around 0 and still being pretty warm with this on). The puff stitch is a thick stitch (it is more like 3-4 stitches in the same stitch, for anyone that doesn't crochet basically its a lot of yarn in one spot XD). so cold are and cold wind don't really get through it. It makes me wish I had it, in some of those cold Wisconsin winters (below 0 and I can't really breath with my asthma, it definitely would have helped with that). I'm more of an efficiency over fashion type of person, so the fact that it works well is really nice (and that it looks cool just happens to be a nice bonus XD). I have a lot of fashion related items in my shop but the ones I always go towards are the ones that will keep me warm (most of the time I am cold). I could see this looking nice in a bunch of different colors, I would personally love to see it in some happy colors (those are the ones I like XD) but I think it would look really nice in a purple or navy blue too. The puff stitch is just kind of a cool stitch, it gives things a neat look, and is nice and cozy :D.
The button takes you to the puff scarf listing :). ADC is my least favorite role, it seems like everything is trying to jump on you and kill you. As ADC you become the damsel in distress of League of Legends lol. All of the Ad bruisers are trying to get to you, assassins, mages, supports, jungles, pretty much every role is trying to kill you. It is like you have teemos global taunt on you, and a deadeye on your face (Overwatch McCree reference).
Normally I play support (ones with a lot of CC) so going from having all of these ways to protect myself to having nothing, being aaaaaaaaaalllllll alone with noooooobody there besiiiiiiiide me (you have to sing it XD), is like oww my face, bam dead. I mean when it comes down to it unless your playing with most of your teammates you aren't really getting protected as ADC, and even if someone (like me as support) is trying to protect you, having three people on you is something one person can't really protect you from, especially now that Camille is out, its like what do I do with that... Your positioning has to be really really really good to not die (especially in the assassin & tank meta). You have to know when to run from the fight and when to come back and deal damage. As a Zyra support main I don't know how to do this, I go balls deep on Zyra to snare/ulti people and make the plays so my ADC positioning is terrible. Going balls deep on ADC, not usually a good thing... doing that usually just makes it easier for the enemy team to kill you XD. Twitch is probably my favorite ADC because of this (I actually used to love Vayne a long, long time ago, but with so many ADC's and Supports being able to out range her, I stopped playing her, I remember when she first came out you could actually solo baron with her lol). Twitch at least gives you some forgiveness for bad positioning because of his stealth, it can't really be that bad if they can't see you lol. All around ADC is just not my thing but even more so with this assassin/tank meta. I see ADC's getting cut down before I could even snare anyone, the new assassins are so fast T_T and scary D:. I don't know how ADC mains feel about this season but I doubt it would be a great feeling, unless your positioning is amazing. ADC's always the damsels in distress XD. 1/9/2017 0 Comments Salvaging in Guild Wars 2I love being able to salvage multiple things at a time, so so much! I used to salvage while in combat to try and keep my bags from getting full (I know bad right?). This would mean that I would miss out on loot and sometimes die for it >.> <.< whoops, but with Arenanet making it so you can salvage multiple things at a time that isn't a problem anymore! On a scale of 1-10 it is probably a 15, I love it so much. For a lot of things you need a lot of materials (like legendaries) so you end up doing a lot of events, which means lots of loot. Going through and salvaging each one of these things individually took a long time (especially with human error of trying to salvage a yellow with the cheaper salvage kit then having to go back and start over because that wasn't what you wanted to do). This saves a lot of time and all you have to do is hit that little accept button and then bam! loot, loot and more loot all broken down into that materials! All you have to do is right click the salvage kit and then away you go! Guild Wars 2 has a lot of convenient features which is part of why I like the game so much. There are so many little things that they've done to make it so you can play the game more and deal with doing little stuff like salvaging less! I have loved this feature since they added it, it was such a good idea and I don't know what I would do without it now!
1/8/2017 2 Comments AmigurumisAn Amigurumi is a knit or crochet, stuffed yarn creature (so it is basically of stuffed animal where you make the outside fabric by crocheting or knitting). The Amigurumis are different than pretty much everything else that I make, because for the part part they have faces, it really makes them come to life. There is just a different feeling to being able to snuggly Pikachu or Lich King Kitty, something comforting, most animals will want to snuggle with something like them or even with different types of animals. There is a special bond that is created. So even if the amigurumis aren't actually living, they seem to invoke a feeling of life, and of comfort. When I look at them I smile because of their happy little faces (I also smile because making them makes me happy, there is something extra special about getting to make something that smiles back at you :)). Happy salt is one of my favorites its cuteness mocks me as a salty gamer XD, and yet whenever I think of it I can't seem to stay salty for too long! When I made Psyduck I got rather attached to him, he was one of the first bigger scale amigurumis that I figured out how to make (I make up nearly all of my own patterns, I just kind of figure them out in my head and then go about trial and error until I get what I was picturing). It may seem cliche but I really do put love into each one of these, I mean when your making something cute and cuddly how can you not! They are very exciting to make, if it is something knew it is like a puzzle where I have to figure it out from scratch, but eventually I always do :). If I have made it before I get to see it come to life once again, and find the joy in its adorable little face! Some of them don't have faces but still mean a lot to me, because of what they represent. If you've played WoW I'm sure you've used this object a bunch, the hearthstone, and doesn't it just give off a certain amount of comfort? Knowing that you will being going back to whatever inn. Each one of the things I make has a special place in my heart because I got to make it, but the amigurumis have a little bit of extra umph (I mean who doesn't like stuffed animals XD). They are very special to me (and very warm if you put a bunch of them on you lol!).
The button goes to the Amigurumis section of my Etsy shop :). 1/7/2017 0 Comments Gnomes, World of WarcraftGnomes, ugh the nasty little jerks! There always seems to be that gnome rogue, if I get ganked by an alliance rogue, what is it going to be? A Gnome like every time! On top of it they are hard to see so on top of being like omg what is happening to me, it takes you an extra second to even find the Gnome because they are so little (and usually end up under whatever mobs you were trying to kill). I know that they aren't only rogues , but them being rogues just adds extra insult in injury, they are so little and usually very cute and then stab you in the knees, shin, and calves. Look at how cute it is?!? What a little jerk. Gnomes has been my bane since I started playing, and I just don't know how I could forget all of the times I've been ganked by a Gnome rogue. It has been so many I don't think I could count them all. Ah Gnomes how I have so much disdain for you XD.
The short answer is no, even though it is a game that I play a lot, I don't believe that people in general have a thick enough skin to deal with the harassment that goes on in League of Legends. While a part of me thinks that it would be a good idea for everyone to play just to get a thicker skin, the other part of me realizes that people in dark places shouldn't be subjected to the League of Legends community. If you don't have a thick enough skin to handle to toxicity, well I wouldn't want to hear of people committing suicide because of some of the things that people say in that game (the straw that broke the camels back type of thing). Not to mention that the amount of times I see people say "Kill yourself" is ridiculous. Sometimes I honestly wonder what their upbringing was like for them to think it is okay to say to another person. To be that apathetic is a little scary. I know it is different because you can't actually see the person but honestly once you get old enough you understand that there is another person that you are talking to that way. And I can't seem to understand how some people think that is okay. The game itself is fun (although bugs last a long time, and I don't know how many times a "bug fix" has actually made it worse lol, at this point its kind of just an on running joke to be honest). I like a competitive game, and I do feel like League of Legends brings that, so I use the mute button liberally and go on my merry way. I always warn people when I know they are going to be trying League of Legends because of how toxic the community is (and how lackluster the punishments are). I don't know how many times people have told me they have stopped playing because of the toxicity and lackluster punishments or that they will only play the fun games modes and or with a full group of 5 because of this. I get really excited when I see this message pop up but with the way people talk, it should be popping up waaaaaay more often. I miss the Tribunal, I found a certain joy about knowing that I was making a difference using the tribunal, and that I had a hand in people being punished for bad behavior.
If you want to try it, just make sure you are prepared, people can definitely be assholes, and people being assholes happens in the fun game modes and regular games which I still cannot wrap my head around. Getting reported for a normal game and potentially getting punished just seems stupid to me, but that doesn't seem to stop those people. I would love to see a mass set of punishments go out on people, even if it was only once and while. I think it could be a good scare tactic, I mean how many times can you really make a new account after the last one got ban and level it up all over again XD. So while the game itself is fun, it requires a thick skin to play. 1/5/2017 0 Comments Fishing in Guild Wars 2Since I started playing Guild Wars 2, I've always thought that fishing should be in the game. At first I thought something like World of Warcraft's pole fishing would be cool, but the more I played the more that didn't really fit the style of Guild Wars 2, but net fishing would. Net fishing could fit into Guild Wars 2 nicely, it could be a relatively quick gathering process like the other gathering nodes. It could even have its own spot among the other gathering tools! I feel like if you shifted the gathering tool slots just a little bit that it could fit in nicely without getting in the way seeing your character :). It would be cool to see fishing nodes in places like Lion's Arch and in the Guild Halls.
I love gathering and could definitely see net fishing fitting in nicely. It could add a whole new element to legendary weapons and cooking, along with some very creative new armors and weapons. I definitely think that it could expand the ideas for legendaries, weapons, and armor, as well as things like tonics, the fish could even have a chance to drop other loot (like the hidden stashes in trees), whether it would be garbage loot like rocks or fish bones or something cool like a special type of fish hidden among the rest of the pool. Personally I see a lot of potential for some pretty cool ideas (and maybe if they add in housing someday like I hope there could be some cool decorations that could be made with perfect fish scales!). Giving me another reason to go to watery areas would be right up my ally (mainly because I really really dislike water combat I get disoriented easily in the water & never really feel sure if I'm in the right spot to hit the mob). The areas with water are very pretty, and some net fishing I feel could give me just the right amount of reason to visit those beautiful places! |
